Swept+ Location Messaging
Keep your cleaners, managers, and supervisors updated by communicating with them through the Swept Inbox. Send a message about any issues or changes that may have happened at a specific location immediately so everyone is on the same page.
Who can communicate using the location inbox?
Cleaners, managers and supervisors are able to communicate using the location inbox in Swept+ as long as they are approved to the location. Clients cannot see location messages.
Managers and supervisors are also able to communicate using the location inbox from the desktop app as long as they have the proper permissions. The desktop app is available at Admin Login.
If the location is part of a one time service the location inbox is not available. Learn more about One Time Services here.
Where can I find the location inbox in Swept+?
You can view location messages by going to Inbox in the bottom navigation menu. Select Locations from the tabs on the Inbox page. From here you can select a location to begin messaging other users (not clients) approved to that location.
Details
Once you’re in the location channel that you would like to send a message you can do the following:
Read new messages - If you have received many new messages click on the down arrow in the bottom right corner to view the latest new message.
Send a message - In the message field type in the message, you would like to send then click the arrow to send the message. This includes text and emojis.
Attach a file - Beside the message field click the + symbol. You can add up to 10 files to each message. Each file needs to be less than 100mb. Please note some phones have restrictions on files that can be viewed and downloaded. You can add files in three ways:
Select from the library - If you have photos or videos in your camera library you would like to attach select the scenery icon and you will be taken to your phone's camera library to select your photos.
Select a file - If you have a file on your phone that you would like to attach click on the file folder. Some examples of files are pdfs, word documents, excel files etc.
Take a new picture - If you would like to take a new picture select the camera icon and you will be able to take a picture with your camera.
Downloading Images
Within Swept+ you are able to download the images to your phone.
iOS/Android
Click on the image you would like to download.
Click on the download icon in the top right corner.
Your phone will show Image Saved at the bottom.
Translation
Translation within Swept+ is based on your device’s language. For example, if your device is set to use French you will see your messages in French and can communicate in French. Users who have their devices set to another language will see your message in their language.
If you would like to see the message in the original language it was sent in, click the translate symbol next to the message.
Reactions
Users can now react to messages with specific emojis. Just tap and hold on any message bubble and choose from one of our pre-made reactions that match what you are feeling
Delete a Message
Only managers are able to delete messages within an inbox. Just tap and hold on any message bubble and select Delete Message.
Copy a Message
Users can copy messages to paste elsewhere. Just tap and hold on any message bubble and select Copy Message.
Mute/Unmute a Channel
Users are able to mute a channel that they do not want to see notifications for. When a channel is muted for a user they will not get any push notifications, they will not see their badge count increase and the channel will remain shown as read in the web app and Swept+ after version 5.1.5.
This is a user specific action so only the user can mute and unmute a channel. To mute a channel click on the three dots in the top right of the channel. Select mute notifications or unmute notifications.
The notify checkbox in a user profile does not include muting a channel. Only users can mute specific channels for themselves.
